101 Affirmations for the New Year

Happy 2023! Last year was a wild ride for me. A lot of changes, health scares, financial stress, job stress, etc. I think everyone can relate to that. This year, I want to make it a goal to give myself grace. Not be so tough on myself. To be more present and mindful.

I need to tell myself it is okay to say “No” to things. It’s okay to take rest days and lay in bed all day if that’s what will be best for my mental health.

My husband went back to work in the office after working from home for almost 3 years. It is quite an adjustment, and I hate it. I absolutely loved having him work from home. He was around all the time. We would keep each other company during the day. He could help bring in groceries, he could be there if one of the kids was sick and I had to take the other one to school. He was my daily lunch date. We never had to worry about when he would be home because he was right upstairs.

For whatever reason, his company decided that everyone must return to the office. No questions asked, it is not up for discussion. Not even a hybrid model. So we shall see how this goes for us as this is a HUGE change for our family.

With all the quietness in the house, I do find I’m more in tune with my thoughts and I can plan out my day just for myself. I really want to put myself first now during the day, and I have found that daily affirmations have really helped my mindset.
