Sunday is Superbowl if you didn’t know! If you are a football fan or not, or are you just in it for the commercials? Or the halftime show? You gotta have some food to go along with it. I have a roundup of my top 5 favorite easy apps you can make and share with everyone.
I am so excited to see the commercials this year. Every year actually. I heard on the news that one 30 second spot costs companies $7 million. $7 million dollars!! That is unreal. But based on past superbowls, their return on investment is outrageous, so they’re doing something right. My favorite commercials are always Budweiser with the Clydesdales. We used to live in St. Louis and toured the brewery, and these Clydesdales are super important to them! And so sweet. Their commercials are always feel good, tear jerkers and I just love those.
What commercials are you excited to see? There have been some that have leaked already. Lots of celebrities this year, I think, is what we’re going to see.
Ok, down to the food. No matter how you celebrate the biggest football game in America, you can have fun with it and make it a night to remember. We are going to our friends’ house and everyone is bringing a dish. So I needed to find a good one to bring, and so I did a roundup for you of my top 5 game night apps that are EASY!

Buffalo Chicken Crescent Ring
- 4oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup hot sauce or red pepper sauce
- 2 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 1 cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
- 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a mixing bowl, mix cream cheese and hot sauce until smooth. Mix in chicken and shredded cheese until combined.
Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough. Separate into 16 triangles. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet so that short sides of triangles for a circle in the center. (Dough WILL overlap.) Final dough ring should look like a sun.
Spoon cream cheese mixture on overlapped section of ring (big parts of triangles). Top with blue cheese crumbles.
Bring each dough triangle in towards center over filling, tucking under bottom layer in center. Repeat until entire ring is enclosed. It will look like a big donut now. If some filling shows through, that’s ok!
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cook for 5 minutes before cutting into slices.
Optional: Serve with carrots, celery, ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
Enjoy!
