Star-Spangled Sips: Easy & Impressive Cocktails for Your Summer Parties

Hey there, Mama! Independence Day is here, and it’s time to celebrate with sparklers, grilling, and some fabulous cocktails. After chasing kids around all day, you deserve a refreshing drink (or seven). So, put on your best red, white, and blue outfit and let’s dive into some patriotic beverages that will make you the star of your backyard BBQ!

PATRIOTIC RUM PUNCH

Ingredients:

• 1 oz blue curaçao
• 1 oz white rum
• 1 oz coconut rum
• Pineapple juice
• Splash of grenadine

Instructions:

1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Pour in the blue curaçao, white rum, and coconut rum.
3. Top with pineapple juice.
4. Add a splash of grenadine for a red layer.
5. Garnish with a cherry or a slice of pineapple.

RED, WHITE & BLUE LAYERED COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

• 1 oz grenadine
• 1 oz blue curaçao
• 1 oz white rum
• Lemon-lime soda

Instructions:

1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Pour grenadine over the ice for the red layer.
3. Slowly pour in lemon-lime soda for the white layer.
4. In a shaker, mix blue curaçao and white rum with ice. Slowly pour over a spoon to create the blue layer.
5. Garnish with a cherry or a patriotic-themed stirrer.

BLUE LAGOON

Ingredients:

• 1 oz blue curaçao
• 1 oz white rum
• Lemonade
• Fresh lemon slices

Instructions:

1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Pour in the blue curaçao and white rum.
3. Top with lemonade.
4. Stir gently.
5. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and a patriotic straw.

STAR-SPANGLED SPRITZER

Ingredients:

• 1 oz blue curaçao
• 1 oz white rum
• Club soda
• Splash of cranberry juice

Instructions:

1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Add the blue curaçao and white rum.
3. Top with club soda.
4. Add a splash of cranberry juice for a red hue.
5. Garnish with fresh berries or a lime wedge.

RED, WHITE & BLUE SANGRIA

Ingredients:

• 1 bottle of white wine
• 1/2 cup triple sec
• 1/4 cup simple syrup
• 1/2 cup blueberries
• 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
• 1/2 cup diced pineapple
• Sparkling water (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a large pitcher, combine white wine, triple sec, and simple syrup.
2. Add blueberries, strawberries, and pineapple.
3. Chill for at least 2 hours.
4. Top with sparkling water before serving, if desired.
5. Serve over ice.

FIRECRACKER MARGARITA

Ingredients:

• 2 oz tequila
• 1 oz lime juice
• 1 oz triple sec
• 1/2 oz cranberry juice
• 1/2 oz blue curaçao
• Ice

Instructions:

1. Fill a shaker with ice.
2. Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and cranberry juice.
3. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.
4. Slowly pour blue curaçao over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
5. Garnish with a lime wedge.

STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY MOJITO

Ingredients:

• 10 fresh mint leaves
• 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
• 2 tbsp simple syrup
• 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
• 1/4 cup sliced strawberries
• 2 oz white rum
• Club soda
• Ice

Instructions:

1. Muddle mint leaves, lime wedges, and simple syrup in a glass.
2. Add blueberries and strawberries, muddle gently.
3. Fill the glass with ice.
4. Pour in white rum and top with club soda.
5. Stir gently and garnish with a sprig of mint and a few whole berries.
