Spring break has come and gone, and now it’s time to get down to business and know that pool days are getting closer and closer to an every day occurrence. As someone who used to wear tiny string bikinis, after popping out 2 kids, health issues and side effects from medication that makes me balloon up, I am NOT looking forward to putting the suit on. No matter how many memes and posts on social media I see, it is not so simple to just PUT THE DANG SUIT ON. Okay? Anxiety inevitable ensues as you think about every roll, cellulite mark and pound is on full display while you’re chasing your kids around the pool or the beach.
That’s why I have created this roundup of my favorite MOM-FRIENDLY swimsuits for you to enjoy and shop. Better yet, they are affordable and come in long sizes for us tall girls.

This is the perfect time to start shopping for swimsuits because they are mostly all in stock before the summer rush. Retailers have just introduced their new swim lines for the season and probably are running sales to catch your eye too!
AMAZON
Starting with Amazon, because this is where most of us are shopping (because trying swim suits on in the store is so last decade!) I have really jumped on the one piece swimsuit bandwagon. When I find a style I like and fits well, you better believe I am buying ALL the colors. When you feel good, your confidence shines more.
And I want you to repeat after me.
Your swim suit needs to fit your body, it’s NOT your body that has to fit the swimsuit.
Not all swimsuits are made the same, just like all body shapes aren’t the same. When you start thinking in this mindset, you don’t feel so upset when certain styles don’t check all the boxes on your list. It’s the swimsuit’s fault, not yours!

AMERICAN EAGLE
Next, I want to show you my top choices from American Eagle/Aerie. Did you know that they have LONG sizes available now? Where was this when I was in my prime teenage awkward years?? These are my picks for moms and for tall girls like me. They are flattering but still cute and trendy. Also, I am in total support of them showing REAL models. They are no longer size 00 which made you question your life choices and throw all the junk food in your pantry away. There’s no photoshopping, and you can really see yourself as one of these models. So I am an immediate fan and customer of American Eagle now. Bravo AE, bravo.
TARGET
Another great retailer that has great mom-friendly swimsuits is Target. I know, right? Surprise, surprise. Their target market has spoken and moms unite in the swimsuit aisle. There aren’t just string bikinis anymore, but they have really cute one pieces, two pieces that are more modest, and mix and match options (which isn’t new to Target, but much appreciated for us girls with bigger boobs and a small butt, or vice versa). And remember, these are just a FEW of my top picks from Target. There are lots more that are available, but I can’t list them all, I have things to do, ya know?
