Need some help knowing where to shop this Black Friday? We all know the year we have had. So more than ever, more customers will be shopping online. Which means more deals and coupon codes and searching what’s trending. I have rounded up some great deals for you to enjoy this holiday season, and some have already started!
I LOVE shopping this time of year. Working in retail since I was 16, it is such a stressful time to work in retail stores, but also never boring. So many people of all walks of life. And when Black Friday became a thing on Thanksgiving night, I was a part of that too. Not by choice, but because I got paid to do it! And I’m telling you, these people were C-R-A-Z-Y bargain hunters. They were all decked out in ugly Christmas sweaters, coffee in hand, wallets filled with cash ready to spend, spend, spend. It is definitely a rush like no other to witness it all as a store manager. So I think it is embedded in me to always get excited for Black Friday and the season we are about to enter. I love helping the clueless parents what to get their kids, the grandparents who are so excited to buy all the things.
Because our year has been thrown for a loop, shopping this holiday season will be comparably different. More people will be shopping online. Which means easier checkouts, coupon codes and all from the comfort of your couch.
The first thing you need to do is install the extension HONEY. This app finds coupon codes AUTOMATICALLY and tells you if something is lower in price than normal, it will say it’s the ideal time to purchase. You also get HONEY GOLD and these add up to be redeemed into REAL MONEY. What’s not to love about this? It will be your new shopping best friend. I promise.
Honey Gold is a rewards program where members can earn Honey Gold (or Gold for short) at some of their favorite stores. Redeem 1000 Gold for a $10 USD gift card at your choice of select stores.
Second, sign up for RAKUTEN (or Ebates, formerly). This is another money saving app that will get you money back on your purchases. The only thing is you can not use Honey AND Rakuten at the same time. Because that would be too good, right? I normally just choose which one will give me the most bang for my buck. Rakuten gives you quarterly checks in the mail with your money back savings. And this time of year, retailers want as many customers as they can get, so they increase their money back % to crazy amounts, sometimes even 20% of your entire purchase at certain retailers. Ok, now for the retailers. I am an affiliate for these companies I will be talking about, so yes, I do get a commission if you purchase from these links at NO COST to you.
