Add 2-3 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, stirring until both are fully melted and incorporated.
Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased casserole dish. Evenly sprinkle 1/4 cup of crushed pecans over the top, followed by one cup of marshmallows.
