I was drowning in my kids’ stuffed animals. Every time I went into their room, I was tripping over them, kicking them out of the way, throwing them off the bed so I could fix their sheets. These stuffed animals were multiplying like bunnies. It was getting so out of hand. I don’t know how we even collected this many.
So I began my search on Pinterest for stuffed animal storage. The results showed DIY cabinets, drawers, mesh hammocks hanging from the ceiling, but nothing really appealed to me. I wanted something that they kids could still have access to their lovies, but I didn’t want to add a whole new piece of furniture to their room.
So once Pinterest filled my thoughts with ideas, I searched Amazon. I literally searched “Stuffed Animal Storage” and this heaven-sent bean bag chair showed up on the first page of results.
The company that sells these has several cute patterns to choose from, some gender neutral as well. I chose the XL size because I knew we needed as big as they come. The fact that when it’s full, it becomes a bean bag chair is amazing. The boys love playing video games, so this would be perfect for them to use (as long as it’s filled).
When it was delivered, I was impressed with how it was packaged because it did not look like it was going to be that big the way it was folded. But when you actually open it, this thing looked like 2 of me could fit inside it.
I took it upstairs and immediately started having the boys help me stuff their lovies inside. I asked them if they thought they would all fit inside, and they both did not think so. I was more convinced they would just based on the awesome reviews and pictures I had seen from the Amazon page.
Guess what? 1,839 stuffed animals later, the bag became almost fully stuffed chair. The material is so heavy, there’s no way they would puncture it or rip it. The zipper is heavy duty too, and it zips across half of the entire bag so you can stuff way more than you think.
I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I might even get another one for extra blankets and pillows that are taking up too much space in the linen closet. Then it would be a second chair for the boys and they won’t have to fight over who gets to sit in it. This solved all my problems of stuffed animals not having a home. I was getting intense anxiety every time I went into their room just because of these stuffed animals everywhere. But now that they are housed in this Stuffed Animal Storage Bean Bag Chair, life is good, and I enjoy playing with the boys in their room now. And I am super comfy too!
