It’s a given that Moms are the glue that holds the family together.
One of my favorite country singers, Luke Bryan, has a song that’s called, “Most People are Good,” and one of the verses is “most Mama’s oughta qualify for sainthood.” This really resonated with me, which inspired me to make this post about what Moms REALLY want for Mother’s Day.
It’s not all breakfast in bed, handmade cards, or family photos. But something genuine that she will love as a reminder of how amazing she is.
I don’t know about you, but I am the gift giver in our family. My husband just doesn’t do gifts. He doesn’t think about all the work that goes into the teacher gifts, birthday party favors, parents’ birthdays, neighbor gifts, kids’ birthdays, etc. Most of that is on me, and since I want to represent our family the best I can, that’s A LOT of pressure. (Sorry, John, I know you’ll read this, but you know it’s true.)
