Hello, friends! I love this time of year because we always do our annual family photos. I love seeing how much the boys change and grow each year. One thing I do struggle with is choosing what all of us should wear. I like neutral tones and not a lot of patterns that make the photos look too busy. So if you’re like me, grab some of these ideas for your own family photos!
I have divided them up into womens, mens, boys and girls options. They are color coordinated so warm hues go together and blue hues go together. I don’t like to have too many patterns in family photos as I feel it makes it look too busy. So for a family of four, I like having two people (at most) in plaid or subtle pattern like that. Solid and neutral tones look best!

What I love about these options are that they are all affordable too! I am such a huge fan of Old Navy for family apparel. The quality is amazing, and they have awesome sales throughout the month. If you are a Navyist member too, you earn points and save money on future purchases and enjoy free shipping.
Also, don’t forget the details! Women’s jewelry makes a huge statement and dresses up an outfit so easily. Shoes as well, don’t just put your kiddos in their regular gym shoes. Dress up a little bit and enjoy the moment! It will be worth it for the photos, I promise! We have been known to bribe our boys with suckers and ice cream if they do well at family photos. And I am not afraid to admit that!
We plan on going to our local pumpkin patch this weekend to do our photos. I can’t wait for this annual tradition every single year. We go to the same farm, pose with the same truck, and there are always the same activities, animals to watch, games to play, etc. It is something that we can depend on for some sort of familiarity during these crazy times right now.
Stay tuned for a post about our trip to the pumpkin patch!
Cheers,
Jackie
